About us
Who we are…
It has often been said about West Cork Distillers that we are a Irish whiskey distillery built and run by the people, for the people. Based in Skibbereen, the company was founded in 2003 by childhood friends, John O’Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of over 140 people in Marsh Road.

OUR CRAFT
How we produce at our Whiskey distillery…
DISTILLING
Sixteen pot stills and three column stills produce almost 16.5 million litres of alcohol (LPA) annually. A further two stills are dedicated to gin.
BOTTLING
Eight bottling lines operate 24 hours per day, six days per week. Every hour, there are 9,000 bottles processed on site.
STORING
Twelve warehouses, which are all located on site at the whiskey distillery in Skibbereen, store up to 200,000 casks as needed.
Our Irish Whiskey Cask Club was founded on community and fairness.
West Cork is known for its hospitality so we look to strike the right balance between the investment and social aspect of owning your own cask. In its short life, the Cask Club has already brought together a diverse group of people from all corners of the globe who stand to benefit from the continued growth of Irish Whiskey.
All available casks are allocated and we are not accepting new members at this time.
